Forest Lake Academy Class of 1988 20th Alumni Reunion, March 28-29, 2008
We had a fabulous reunion weekend! Approximately 60 classmates showed up, most of whom were among the 104 who graduated in 1988 with a few who had attended but graduated elsewhere. The weekend comprised of a Friday evening program, a larger gathering Saturday morning with the official class photos, an afternoon picnic at Wekiva River state park, an evening gathering, and an after party at a classmate's home in Sanford.

Branson, Missouri, for Melissa's Wedding, June 13-15, 2008
I traveled with my parents to Missouri for my younger cousin's wedding. We stayed in Springfield, but the bulk of our activities were in Branson. The first several dozen photos are from the camera of my older cousin, LuCinda—mostly shots from Melissa's shower.
Independence Day Family Activities, July 4, 2008
A day of Wii games, pool time, great food, and rather impressive small-budget pyrotechnics.
Kensington LiquidAUX Deluxe Auxiliary Car Kit, August 6, 2008
These are photos for a splendid little vehicle mounting/charging/audio playback kit for iPods and iPhones I reviewed for ATPM.com. Clearly it's obsolete now, but I loved that it was a device that could finally tap the iPhone line level output instead of using the headphone jack.
Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest, August 16, 2008
A brief outdoor walk and geocache hunt at the Bernheim Arboretum.
Kids Play at Andy's Birthday Party, August 17, 2008

Splendid day. The kids had lots of fun.

Busch Gardens, September 21, 2008
Somewhat of a spur-of-the-moment decision, it was a splendid day with just me and my parents. We got annual passes, so we'll be back plenty more times.

The 2008 Society of Adventist Communicators convention included a trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. After SAC, a colleague and I took a drive to Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park's Bear Lake before heading to the airport to return home.
Nikon D90 Unboxing, November 3, 2008
The office budget allowed for the purchase of this brand new Nikon D90. I'll use it as a replacement for the aging D100, though the D100 is still in good working order and will be used as a secondary camera by my boss. (The SB-800 flash and the padded shoulder strap aren't new—they were leeched off the D100.)
Nikon D90 Test Shots at Epcot, November 6, 2008
I'd just picked up a brand new Nikon D90 for the office, and I wanted to see how well it did in the dark. These shots originated from Camera Raw format where I did a little adjustment on color temperature before saving to high quality JPEG. There's still some color noise, but I was pushing the capabilities pretty hard, I believe. The original album finishes with clips recorded during the IllumiNations show. After the video clips, for this Flickr album, I have also added all (nearly 100) unadjusted photos that I shot.
Melvin and Katie's Wedding, November 9, 2008
A beautiful service on a perfect day of weather. This album starts with 15 of my favorite shots which received Photoshop enhancement. Following those are all my unaltered shots from the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception.
Florida Hospital Ginsburg Tower Grand Opening, November 24, 2008
I didn't even realize this night was the grand opening until Jeff called that afternoon to invite me along. Glad he did, because the whole thing was spectacular—Disney calibre.

Not so much a trip for me as some fun for my cousin's son while others went Black Friday shopping.

Spending Christmas and New Year's in post-equinox Alberta.
Miscellaneous/random shots taken in 2008 which I did not include as part of any other set of photos.
