I should've guessed that the exterior of the Arch was more photogenic than images taken from the top. Nevertheless, after having previously driven through St. Louis twice without being able to stop, It was nice to finally be in the city long enough for a trip up.

Tram entrance
This is where you start the journey to the top of the Arch. The small, circular tram cars hold five people and rotate on a hinge as eight cars at a time follow a curved track to the top.

Almost there
Exiting the tram near the top, one must climb a few steps the rest of the way. (Silly girl absolutely would not stop staring at me taking photos.)

Look ma, no net!
Looking straight down. The Arch legs are just barely visible on each bottom corner. The "mess" on the grounds is the result of workers cleaning up after Fair St. Louis the night before.
