A June trip to southern Missouri for my younger cousin's wedding in Branson was a lovely trip, although the hands-down photographic highlight of the year was driving to the Rocky Mountain National Forest for a couple hours of sightseeing before flying home after an annual convention. Late this year also saw the acquisition of a Nikon D90 for work—a vastly superior camera to the D100 used previously.

We had a fabulous reunion weekend! Approximately 60 classmates showed up, most of whom were among the 104 who graduated in 1988 with a few who had attended but graduated elsewhere. The weekend comprised of a Friday evening program, a larger gathering Saturday morning with the official class photos, an afternoon picnic at Wekiva River state park, an evening gathering, and an after party at a classmate's home in Sanford.

These are photos for a splendid little vehicle mounting/charging/audio playback kit for iPods and iPhones I reviewed for ATPM.com. Clearly it's obsolete now, but I loved that it was a device that could finally tap the iPhone line level output instead of using the headphone jack.

The office budget allowed for the purchase of this brand new Nikon D90. I'll use it as a replacement for the aging D100, though the D100 is still in good working order and will be used as a secondary camera by my boss. (The SB-800 flash and the padded shoulder strap aren't new—they were leeched off the D100.)

I'd just picked up a brand new Nikon D90 for the office, and I wanted to see how well it did in the dark. These shots originated from Camera Raw format where I did a little adjustment on color temperature before saving to high quality JPEG. There's still some color noise, but I was pushing the capabilities pretty hard, I believe. The original album finishes with clips recorded during the IllumiNations show. After the video clips, for this Flickr album, I have also added all (nearly 100) unadjusted photos that I shot.
