February 4, First Rosemont Visit
I looked at two properties, both in the Rosemont area, not far from where Lee Road/John Young Pkwy. intersects 441. This one was my favorite of the two. The building here at the entrance to the community is the one I looked at. The side with the garage doors that are visible is the same side as the next photo. The entrance is on the right side. So yes, that nice corner landscaping would be this unit's front lawn which, by the way, association fees take care of. I wouldn't need to mow. Yes, the landscaping looks kinda bad right now, but it's being dealt with. People were in the middle of resodding a lawn behind me in this photo, and what's visible here will probably be redone after these cold snaps are over.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
The entire upper floor on this side is the unit I looked at. One other unit is upstairs on the opposite side, but obviously no living areas would be directly above or below me. The info sheet didn't say anything at all about a garage, but the realtor and I have to believe the garage on the right would be included. Separate doors, but the interior of the garage is one large, four-wide space. Moving around the right corner…

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
…Here, the garages are around the corner on the left. In the center is the entrance to the unit I looked at. Essentially, everything from the drain pipe (between the two windows) and forward (to the left) is the unit for sale. The other side of the drain pipe is another unit.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Moving closer to the entrance which is on the lower level.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Same entry. The door on the left enters the unit. The door on the right goes into the garage.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
A coat closet and staircase are just inside the entrance.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Standing the same spot as the previous photo, looking up.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
The rail visible in the previous photo is the same as the one my realtor is standing in front of. This shot is standing in the living room looking opposite toward the front door.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
I moved directly left from previous photo, into the dinette area. As seen earlier, the balcony stretches all the way across the unit and is accessible from the living room and both bedrooms. The staircase rail seen here is the same rail as the closer, more dominant, rail in the prior photo. The kitchen is on the left.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Turned left a bit from prior photo, looking into kitchen. Appliances aren't new, but are in okay shape and are included. Linoleum is fairly new. Cabinet area under sink is going to be redone because of leak damage.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Turning around, standing at the top of the stairs, still in the living room. The far corner is where the photo above (the one with the realtor visible) was taken from.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Dinette on far left. Top of stairs just out of frame to the right.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Looking down hallway. Living room window is on left, dinette and kitchen on right.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
First room on the left in hallway is a bedroom I'd set up for the computer. This photo is from inside, looking back out into the hallway. Dinette is out and to the right. Guest bathroom is directly across hall.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
The guest bathroom is the first door on the right.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Also on the right side of the hallway in the included washer/dryer, A/C, and water heater.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Inside the master bedroom. Closest door (on right) is the end of the hallway. Bathroom is the other doorway back in the nook.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Opposite side of master bedroom. Hallway door is just out of frame to the left.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
This dressing area is in the bedroom nook, between the bathroom on the right and the closet on the left.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Mirrored closet doors.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Master bathroom is virtually identical to the guest bathroom.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Other units along the main road in this community.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
This is the exterior of the second property I visited on February 4. This site does not include a garage and another unit is above.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
I didn't like the floorplan as well. The unit overall is larger, but the living space feels more cramped. This living area is straight ahead from the front door. The sliding window on the right is the same one seen in the exterior photo above…left-most window below the upper floor's balcony.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Turning left 45 degrees shows the kitchen and the dinette on the left.

February 4, First Rosemont Visit
Moving into the dinette, looking into the kitchen and somewhat down the hall. I did not continue taking photos because people were working. Basically, a washroom and water heater is first on the left in the hallway (W/D not included…only hookups) and the A/C closet on the right. Next, the guest bedroom/den is on the right and a guest bathroom on the left, then the master bedroom at the end of the hall. The master bathroom area isn't much bigger than the previous unit, and has a shower area instead of a tub. Granted, this unit would have brand new carpet and kitchen/hallway tile, but I'm not as fond of it.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Although I really liked this unit, it was still a bit too early on my timeline of when I needed to move, and it was pretty far from where I worked, so the commute would have been really icky. The sidewalk in this picture leads straight to the front door (not visible). The white door is an exterior storage closet.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Same front, opposite corner. The window on the far left in both this picture and above is the kitchen. The brick wall/window is the guest bedroom. The back window on the side is part of the master bedroom.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Looking a little to the right from the previous photo, this unit sits directly next to a private nature walk into a conservation region.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Predating Google Maps, this is a Microsoft Terraserver aerial photo showing the conservation area adjacent to the community. The red pin icon is the townhome's specific location. The large wooded area is the region that the nature trail in the previous photo winds through. Lake Mary Blvd. is the highway in the lower portion, intersecting Highway 17/92 in the lower right corner.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Inside the foyer, looking out the front door. Kitchen entrance is on the right and a coat closet is on the left. Living room is behind. A pass-through window from the kitchen to the living room is out of frame to the right.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Inside kitchen. Pass-through window is to the right.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Looking into hallway. Kitchen pass-through window is partially visible on the right. Straight ahead in hallway is the guest bathroom. In front of that, a linen closet is on the right and washer/dryer closet on the left. In between those closets and the bathroom are the bedroom entrances. Guest bedroom is on the right, master bedroom on the left.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Inside guest bedroom, looking through hallway to master bedroom. Guest bathroom is just outside the near doorway, to the right.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Guest bathroom has brand new tile.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
In master bedroom, looking back out through hallway. The main closet is behind the mirrored doors. A smaller closet is on the right side of the bedroom entryway. Master bathroom is on the left side of the entryway.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Looking out living room sliding door to rear yard which needs substantial clean-up. Prior owner hadn't completely finished at the time of this visit.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Back of unit as seen from nature trail entrance. Fence is in dire need of attention.

March 14, Hidden Lake, Sanford
Nice community pool area.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Same community as the first several photos, but instead of being right at the entrance, this unit for sale was in the back nearby access to the pond. This photo is standing at the end of the community's dead-end road, looking the direction you'd be driving in from. The unit I looked at is out of frame directly left.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Turn 90° from the prior photo. The unit for sale is on the left side behind the garages.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
About 45° further left, no buildings face up to the entry of the unit I looked at. The adjacent property has a school in the distance. A year or two later, a community center and outdoor recreation area was built in between the school and the condo.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Looking down the side of the building, this shot is the same angle as two photos prior, but standing right next to the garages.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Same side of the building, but looking the opposite direction. The unit's entry is in the middle and the two windows on the second floor are for both bedrooms of this unit. The window on the left edge is part of a different unit. The blank wall area to the right of the upper floor windows is part of yet another unit and is directly above the garages.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Same angle as prior photo, but stepped back near the edge of the lake. Entrance to unit I looked at is behind the tree trunk.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Still on the side of the building, looking back towards road, school property on the right.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Turn 180° degrees from prior photo for view of the lake. The light pole is where the photo two prior to this one was taken.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
90° right from the prior photo, looking across rear lawns and rows of buildings facing the lake.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Inside the lower floor, standing at bottom of stairwell. Front door is on the left (mirrored on the right).

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Reverse angle of prior photo, standing at the front door. Kitchen is on the right. The door is a below-steps utility closet and a small hallway it to the right along that wall, behind the kitchen.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
90° right from prior photo, looking into kitchen. Front door is to the right.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Inside the kitchen looking out to stairwell. Yeah, the brown formica has gotta go! A sliding glass door into the kitchen is behind where I'm standing. Near the refrigerator on the right edge, on the wall to the right, is a door into the garages.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
The hallway behind the kitchen. The utility closet is out of frame to the left. Washer/dryer area and a half bathroom are in this hallway.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
Upper floor landing. Didn't take photos of rooms because people still lived here and I felt uncomfortable photographing their bedrooms. The full bathroom is on the left with another door that goes directly into the master bedroom, which is the door in the center. The narrow door is a linen closet, and the second bedroom is on the extreme right edge.

March 29, Second Rosemont Visit
In the garages, the door in the background goes into the kitchen. The jutted out area on the extreme left is storage for this unit, and to the right of that is a door to outside.

May 3, Third and Final Rosemont Visit
This is the unit I eventually purchased, having closed around 1:30 p.m. on June 14. Considering how many units came available in this community, it seemed to be a sign that I'd purchase one of them. Its location on a corner made for an extremely spacious front yard.
This photo is a stitched panorama. The access street and parking are in the back. I would walk around the side and access this front unit that looks over the recently re-landscaped lawn. The main road is beyond (to the right in this photo) but a hedge and the fact that this unit sits up a bit on a hill obscures the road and cars. Yes, the screen and porch area looks bad in this photo. It was mid-way through being completely rebuilt and it was as good as new when I closed on the unit.

May 3, Third and Final Rosemont Visit
Same front of unit from opposite angle, and closer.

May 3, Third and Final Rosemont Visit
Just inside the front door. The floor has very nice tile. The window above the couch is the kitchen.

May 3, Third and Final Rosemont Visit
Turn just a bit right from prior photo. Kitchen entrance on darker wall, and full-height mirror in the dinette. Makes the place look bigger. Note the stools on the far right…

May 3, Third and Final Rosemont Visit
…this photo is standing next to the stools in the prior photo. Front door is just out of frame to the left. Curtains cover sliding glass door out to screened porch.

180° from master bathroom is a very spacious walk-in closet.

May 3, Third and Final Rosemont Visit
I also checked out another unit this day, but I was pretty certain I wouldn't pursue this one. Wasn't terribly fond of the look of the neighborhood. This one's a two-story unit. Front door is on the left, the lower-floor window is the kitchen and the two upper-floor windows are the guest bedroom.

May 3, Third and Final Rosemont Visit
Entry area. Kitchen entrance is on left edge of frame. Closed doors on far wall is the A/C and storage area. Open door on extreme right edge is a half bathroom.
