The 2018–2019 school year marks Forest Lake Academy's 100th anniversary, having founded as Winyah Lake Academy in 1918 and relocating/rebranding as FLA a decade later. There will be various celebrations throughout the school year—this particular Sunday was the first, as a somewhat quickly organized social event to start off the year.
