This year's Christmas included my brother's family in addition to my cousin's family and aunt/uncle. There were 13 of us in all! Note: this album first contains my photos, followed by my brother's, and ending with my parents' camera.

Citrus baseball
The family was just returning to my parents' house from a petting farm trip (see the photos later in this album from my brother and parents' cameras) when I arrived Saturday afternoon. First thing the kids wanted to do was play "baseball" with the citrus they'd picked—how they got that idea, I may never know.

Snowman submissions
We were instructed in advance to create a snowman and bring it to our Christmas Eve party at my aunt and uncle's house for judging—part of the numerous games that were arranged.

More games
We were instructed to feel the items in the stocking (no reaching in) and try to identify them. Also guess the number of M&Ms—and there were both regular and peanut M&Ms so the different sizes would throw us off.

Several phrases to be unscrambled were taped up all around the house

Paper on left was our sheet for the word scramble. Middle sheet was a Christmas movie trivia game. On the right was something of a pictogram game where the images represented a Christmas song (e.g. Oh Holey Knight).

Reindeer hunt
We also tried to be one of the first three (or was it four?) people to identify the locations of all 12 hidden "reindeer."

Porch play
We all chilled out on the back porch after the games, where the kids played with blocks and several adults somehow managed to start a silly "I went to the supermarket…" game.

Best smiles
It's very hard to get a good smile out of Riley for a photo. He nearly always makes silly faces for every photo. But here, he was proud to have completed the guide for a song on this zither. As soon as he finished, he was grinning and I shouted, "RILEY!" Both he and his mom looked at me, and I got this shot. Great one of both of them.

My brother has chickens at his home and gets fresh eggs every day. Some of them, Heidi will drain and paint the shells to make ornaments. Most get sold on eBay, but a few came to Florida as gifts.

I'm not sure whose gift this was—probably Riley. It's a set of magnetic pieces that must be carefully positioned so a marble can be dropped from the top piece and properly fall down all the pieces to end up in the container at the bottom. It's a lot harder than it looks!

The remote-control car wasn't even a Christmas present to anyone this year. My dad has had this for a while and the kids wanted to play with it in the early evening—until the bugs started biting. Yes, Christmas day in Florida was still warm enough for bugs to be a nuisance.
