Local bands Ádamas and Runnin' Blind performing at Reilly's Lantern Pub near Universal Studios. It's a shame Ádamas never made it bigger because they were sounding better and better every time I heard them. (The lead singer was my friend Juan Bautista.) This gig was the first I'd ever heard of Runnin' Blind. They were missing their bass player, but still had a great sound.

Ádamas' point man
Lead singer and rhythm guitar player Juan, and his (now divorced) wife, Rosa. Couldn't ask for better friends.

Crazy cameraness
Self portraits at slow shutter speeds and a flash pop tend to yield pretty trippy results.

Realizing that typical flash or no flash shots weren't coming out so well, I started experimenting with low power flashes and longer shutter speeds. The results were pretty interesting and the majority of the remaining shots were done this way.

When Runnin' Blind took the stage this posse started lending a hand! I'm not sure I caught it properly, but I think the band called them the Blind Runners.

After Runnin' Blind finished their set, I planted myself in the front and center couch for a bunch of close up shots as both bands mixed it up and jammed together for about an hour. I should have sat here sooner. Except that I couldn't get any wide shots of everyone, these shots came out the best, by far.
