Big fun energy at this year’s convocation
I am part of the audio-visual team for an annual convocation (called Camp Meeting) held in North Florida.
Saturday afternoon featured a concert by a talented group of siblings, The Chitans. The closing song was a steel drum performance of "Days of Elijah." The audience was so pumped with energy, they called out to encore the same song to be played again.
My role with this weekend event is running videos, graphics, slides, lyrics, lower thirds, etc. Basically anything shown on screen that it not a live camera.
Realizing the group was about to do the encore and that the audience was trying to sing along the first time around, I pulled off a minor miracle. I performed a quick search inside of ProPresenter to pull the song's lyrics from CCLI SongSelect, applied my preset lower third theme, and boom, the repeat performance had full lyrics on screen to help people sing along.
This video is a clip of the last few minutes where the audience stood up and got fully involved in the vibe of the room!

Positive energy, please, for our 16½-year-old Chloe Doodle
She has been on heart meds for almost 4 years and seems to be in kidney/liver failure. She won’t eat, seldom pees, and can barely stand. Her favorite treat of scrambled eggs doesn’t entice her in the least. Lots of tears that it may be time for the tough choices.

I’ve been on a low dose aspirin regimen for maybe 6½+ years. I buy Walmart Equate brand bottles of 500 pills. At 3 doses per week, a bottle lasts me just short of 3¼ years! A few weeks ago I bought a bottle for the third time and noticed a cute, albeit pointless, new flourish of a heart stamped into the pill.
Golden Sriracha Doritos apparently are new as of January; saw them for first time today and they’re great!

Tales from the Print Shop—jury-rigged edition
We thought the tape holding a wiring harness against the booklet finisher frame had lost its stickiness, causing the wire to get in the way of the booklet path. Turned out not to be the problem, but that didn't stop me from using a metal binding clip to keep the wire attached to a metal flange!
Popeyes Hot Ones Last Dab Ranch
Really pleased to see some restaurants starting to roll the dice with spicy menu items that are actually spicy. Granted, this dipping sauce is almost certainly not as hot as what guests eat on the Hot Ones show, but it still packs a pretty good punch.
